As a Water Treatment Equipment Field Service Technician & Installer, you will be the driving force behind maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and installing water treatment systems on-site at customer locations. Your energetic approach will ensure that water treatment equipment operates efficiently, delivering safe and clean water. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with advanced water treatment technology, providing essential services that safeguard public health and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, startup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various water treatment equipment at customer sites.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems are functioning optimally and identify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and verify system integrity.
  • Diagnose system malfunctions accurately and implement effective repair solutions promptly.
  • Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and system performance data.
  • Communicate clearly with clients to explain system status, maintenance procedures, and recommended improvements.
  • Follow safety protocols diligently during all service activities to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize service delivery and share technical insights.
  • Be able to be on a emergency service call rotation schedule to respond to afterhours service requests.
Requirements

  • Proven experience working with water treatment systems or related equipment in a field service capacity is a plus.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnosis various issues with equipment to begin necessary repairs.
  • Ability to read service manuals to perform necessary repairs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward maintenance tasks.
  • Perform 20 pt. equipment inspections
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, hauling equipment up and downstairs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Clear communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Water treatment equipment knowledge
  • Previous field appliance repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing fittings
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing
  • Restricted Plumbers License or able to begin the process to obtain your license within the first year of employment
Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
